Since our charter in Januay 1933, our American Legion Post has been welcoming and serving VETERANS from all branches of our Armed
Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military serving our
country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your
God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the
goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country,
friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

To the wonderful patriotic citizens of Chincoteague Island, and the adjacent mainland on the DELMARVA Pennisula. Join our Post as a Booster or sponsor. (click Sponsor or Booster Button for details). 100% of the monies raised are given back to the community. Help us to continue sponsoring Scholarships for our children; give aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans and their families. Help us to continue to support financially worthy community programs and projects.

Adopted Unit: 307th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB), U. S. Army, supports the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. Post 159 member Major Terry "Toot" Newman is the Battalion Commander.

Would you like to join your fellow veterans here at Chincoteague Post 159. All you have to do is click on the "Application" link on the left side, fill out the application, then mail your check and a photo copy of your DD Form 214 to American Legion Post 159, P.O. Box 244, Chincoteague, VA 23336; OR give your check and DD 214 to the Bartender at the Post.
